Humdinger Bicycle Tours is the first to offer multi-day, supported tours in Ontario’s cottage country. Our vision is to provide premium cycling tours that challenge body and mind while ensuring guests feel at home. Since our inception in 2018 we have been striving to increase sustainable business practices and reduce our foot print.

Guests enjoy a complete holiday experience that includes excellent cycling, friendly & knowledgeable guiding, local history, arts & culture, food & drink, and pleasing accommodations. We offer a range of guided and self-guided tours mainly in Simcoe, Grey, Bruce, Muskoka and Haliburton, with forays into other regions of the province.

Our bike routes are carefully crafted to balance quality riding with guests’ enjoyment and well-being. We want you to have a great adventure and a complete holiday experience. Tours include stops at interesting sights, fantastic local food, and boutique accommodations. Humdinger Bicycle Tours operates out of the “don’t blink or you’ll miss it” village of Rugby, in the township of Oro-Medonte, in the historic County of Simcoe, part of the Orillia and Lake Country tourist region. We believe that central Ontario’s cottage country offers some of the most exceptional, undiscovered cycling routes of anywhere in the world, and we want to share them with you.

Message from our Founder

Hello! Thank you for your interest in Humdinger Bicycle Tours. I am a long-term Simcoe County resident who tries to spend as much time in the summer on Georgian Bay as possible. I started Humdinger Bicycle Tours as a way to spend more time outdoors and less time in front of a computer, and to help you to do the same. I trained and worked as a physiotherapist for many years before returning to school, completing a PhD, and becoming a research scientist. In my research life, I work to understand how thinking and moving interact to help or hinder each other, and how thinking and moving interact with motivation when we learn new skills or perfect existing ones.  My research (some of which you can read here) also includes understanding how we set and, more importantly, attain personally-meaningful goals.

If you are recovering from illness or injury, or are living with a chronic condition that makes the idea of a cycling trip seem challenging, please get in touch to discuss how we can work together so that you can have an awesome, active, outdoor adventure holiday.

Central Ontario is spectacular and has fantastic cycling routes that can be enjoyed by cyclists of all levels. Please join us for an extraordinary, Humdinger of a bike tour. Cheers! Sara
